  • When was Financial formed?

    Our first AR contract was signed on 15th February 2002. Most of the IFAs who joined that year are still members – that's a vote of confidence for you.

  • Who owns the network?

    Charlie Palmer 100%. No other network is owned by just one person. Since that person is the CEO you can rest assured that all parties are pulling in the same direction. The board of directors control the company.

  • Individual network ownership is very unusual, and FINANCIAL are the biggest owner managed Network. Is the Network for sale?

    Owner statement: "I cannot predict the next 24 hours, let alone in the next five years or more. However I have no plans to sell, no desire to sell and I have few interests outside of this work. This creation is my life's work and I am deeply attached to it and I enjoy running it".

  • Are the directors IFAs themselves?

    Charlie Palmer worked at Allied Dunbar's Cheltenham branch for five years, then spent another five as a sole trader IFA even before founding the network. Steve Bell also has worked as an IFA, after working at Barclays financial planning. Paivi Grigg worked as Financial Director for Burns Anderson and then Lighthouse for a total of 14 years. Whilst Angela Evans, the Group Finance Director has no direct IFA experience, she brings a slightly different perspective having previously worked as Divisional Director at Chelsea Building Society (Treasury Division as well as Accounting & Tax Division).
